We were very happy with our stay at Ripertoli. The property is well-maintained and very pretty, with a magnificent view from the terrace. The pool is lovely, and we had a wonderful stay with 11 young children. They swam and played in the garden; this place is perfect for family gatherings. The hosts are very attentive.

Response from the owner

Dear Etienne, thank you so much for your lovely review of Ripertoli after your stay there last week to celebrate Pascale’s 70th birthday with her children and grandchildren. It’s great to know that the facilities were so suitable for a large group with such a range of ages and that the heated pool was OK even in April. Thank you for taking good care of the property, and maybe you will all return to celebrate Pascale’s 75th !

My family and I spent our holidays in Ripertoli at the end of December and it was amazing!
The house is absolutely magnificent, it’s a traditional Tuscan house that has been taken care of with so much love and you can feel it!
Nigel and Deborah were so nice to us and very welcoming! And I thank Licia too for her availability when we had questions!
The view of the hills is breathtaking and the house is so cozy. Nothing is missing, everything was made to make the stay perfect! Every bedrooms has its own charm and the fact that there’s a bathroom in every bedroom is so good. The kitchen was perfect and what we loved the most was that we could all sit up around the fire in the evening after eating. And the table is big enough to sit a whole family! We loved it!
The place is quiet and perfect for a nice stay but it’s also very easy to visit more “touristic places” because it’s not too far from Florence.
We picked the place by seeing pictures online on the very well detailed website but we fell in love with the place when we saw how much love and time was invested in Ripertoli.
Nigel and Deborah truly love the place and you can feel it when you visit, and that is why this place is like no other!
I will definitely come back one day!

Response from the owner

Eva, thank you so much for this lovely review. This is the first time that we have had guests at Ripertoli over the New Year, and – as you know – we were a little nervous, but you reassured us and in fact were perfect guests. Everything was spotless and in the correct place when you left!

We’re so pleased that you and your large family group appreciated what Ripertoli has to offer even in winter. You are right – Deborah and I do love Ripertoli, and want to make it the perfect place for our guests in summer or winter. Thank you for appreciating it and for taking time out in your busy life to write such a detailed review – and please do come back some day !

We had a wonderful stay at Ripertoli with our extended family in September 2025. The Villa was clean, spacious and comfortable, and stocked with most anything that we could possibly need. Particularly helpful were the ice maker, ironing board, and washer/dryer! The Villa is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, and the views are spectacular. We had great weather and our granddaughters spent nearly every free moment in the swimming pool.
If you plan to have your meals out, the Villa is about a 15-minute drive from the larger local towns of Greve and Panzano on fairly narrow local roads – we did indeed venture out most every day. In retrospect, I would want to prepare more of our dinners at the Villa with its spacious kitchen and tables but most everyone wanted to go off and explore, which was fine. There is a Coop market in a smaller nearby town (a 12-minute drive) that has most everything you could possibly need for preparing meals. We made two separate shopping runs.
Bottom Line: Ripertoli was a great setting and experience for our extended family trip and I would not hesitate to book again in the future. And Nigel and the local team are great hosts

Response from the owner

Blair, thank you so much for your lovely review and for taking the time and trouble to include so much detail. I’m sure future guests will find it really useful, and of course you and your family will be more than welcome whenever you choose to return to Ripertoli. Nigel.

We have been returning to Ripertoli over many years first with our children and now with our grandchildren. It is such a special place, very private, and with amazing views towards Florence. Lovely traditional Tuscan farmhouse with a great swimming pool set away from the house. The house and additional accommodation is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, even a couple who will cook some meals should you need extra help. Fantastic local area, great local restaurants, wineries and villages.

Response from the owner

Thank you Susan – we love the way you have been returning to Ripertoli for literally decades, bringing new generations of the family with you. It’s grest that you truly get how special it is. and that the family does too. Hope to see you again next year !

If you are looking for a holiday in the Tuscan Hills with family or friends then look no further than Ripertoli.
The beautifully restored farmhouse sits on top of a hill with splendid views over the Tuscan countryside which you can even enjoy from the beautiful swimming pool. The house is very well appointed with a lovely homely feel, and you can tell it is much loved by the owner and his family. To find a house with eight bedrooms all ensuite is not easy!!
There were 14 in our party and we all enjoyed it immensely, and I’m sure we will be back again sometime in the future.

Response from the owner
Thank you Angus. I know you chose to return to Ripertoli with a large group of friends to celebrate a big birthday; Deborah and I take it as a big compliment !

Marisa, Licia and Claudio say that you were outstanding guests, and I know (having seen some of your photos) that you had a great time at Ripertoli and also in some of the lovely local villages. We all look forward to welcoming you back some time soon.

We had a great week at Ripertoli! We went with a group of 4 families (4 people in each) and the property is set up well to support our group. Each family had private space to rest and relax and there is good common space in the main house, the back terrace and the pool area. The photos on the website are accurate as of our visit.
The house is set up to make life easy with enough plates, cups, silverware and three dishwashers to clean it all! Additionally, there are two sets of laundry machines and two refrigerators.
We found Ripertoli because one of our friends on the trip has stayed here before and had a similarly great time.

Response from the owner
John thanks so much for your kind review. Deborah & I are delighted that you had such a good time at Ripertoli – as you know, we try very hard to make it perfect for our guests, and it’s great when our efforts are appreciated. And I know that you enjoyed Claudio’s cooking as well !

Come back soon – you will always be welcome. Nigel Tully.

Our week at Ripertoli was a rare and beautiful opportunity to reconnect: with family, friends, ourselves, and the natural world. The villa offered every comfort we could have hoped for, wrapped in the timeless calm of the Tuscan countryside.
Ripertoli’s generous layout and many gathering spaces invited conversation in every configuration, whether quiet one-on-ones or lively dinners for twelve. Even in solitude, the sweeping views had a quietly restorative effect, dissolving the stress and noise of a busy year.
We shared unforgettable meals on the sun-drenched terraces, unwound by the pool, and wandered through the charming nearby villages and towns, each with its own warmth and character.
Beneath the spellbinding Tuscan skies, we found exactly what we came for: renewal and deep connection. Ripertoli feels not merely situated in nature, but in harmony with it, as if perfectly poised between earth and sky.

Response from the owner
Richard, thank you so much for your lovely review of your week at Ripertoli. Deborah & I are delighted that you and your family and friends enjoyed it so much, and that you really “got” what it’s about. We know exactly want you mean about the restorative effect – it really is a very special place.

Come back again some day !

A wonderful September week at Ripertoli. It is a beautiful property in a fabulous location. Whilst the property was built many years ago it has been thoroughly modernised with air conditioning, sky TV and a wonderful solar heated swimming pool. Lots of interesting places and restaurants to visit all within a thirty minute drive.
An added bonus is team Marisa the lovely housekeeper and cook who produces superb Tuscan evening meals when required.
I am sure we will be back.

Response from the owner
So glad that you enjoyed it so much Paul ! Marisa, Licia, Roberto and the team look forward to welcoming you back.

BTW the pool heating is actually a heat pump so it works even when the sun doesn’t shine e.g. at night, but much of the electricity in the daytime does indeed come from our own large bank of solar panels.

Our third wonderful visit to Ripertoli – the joy and pleasure of returning to this magical spot are, if anything, enhanced by familiarity. Nigel’s recommendations, based on his profound knowledge and love of the area ( on the Ripertoli website and in print on arrival) prove to be your own personal guide to the best of Tuscany. The weather was cooler in April, but still delightful to sit on one of the terraces at the magnificent Carrara marble table ( which would be amazing for parties and weddings – catered for by the incomparable Marisa, mistress of Tuscan cuisine – and there is an equally huge polished wooden table in the huge beamed living room), revelling in the timeless beautiful views across the Chianti landscape, to the mountains beyond. The vast heated pool ( more stunning views) is a real boon. This will not be our last visit to our favourite place.

We went to Ripertoli to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. This beautiful old rustic Villa exceeded our expectations! From the comfortable home to the spectacular views! The bedrooms with their own bathrooms were clean and cozy. We were struck by the attention to detail….from a fully equipped kitchen, bbq, electric towel dryers, laundry room, ice maker and hair dryers. Just to name a few. Nigel made sure we were well looked after and was always quick to make our stay as great as it could be. Marisa cooked for us several times and it was wonderful! As were the rest of his staff there. Especially Licia also. We thoroughly recommend this Tuscan Villa and are already talking about returning Thank you Nigel! We have beautiful memories forever!

Response from the owner
Thank you Luisa – what a lovely review, thank you for taking the trouble to write. Deborah and I love to do all we can to make our guests’ stay at Ripertoli really special, and it’s heart-warming to know that we succeeded for you on your 50th Anniversary. And – as you say – housekeeper Marisa is wonderful. Come back soon !
