Activities:
- Chianti Travel Service This local taxi service knows Ripertoli well, is very efficient and reliable, and will happily meet you at an airport or station and take you to Ripertoli. They have an english-speaking secretary in the office.
- Bikes and motor-scooters can be hired for very reasonable rates from Greve, and are a great way to see the wonderful Tuscan countryside. Marco Ramuzzi (tel 055 853037) will deliver and collect to/from Ripertoli. Scooters can be legally hired and driven in Italy by anyone over 14, without a licence.
- Horse-riding is available via a Livery Stable near Mercatale, 10 minutes drive from Ripertoli,
tel 055 82 17 925.
- Tennis courts are available in Tavarnelle, 15 minutes drive from Ripertoli.
- Golf - there is a wonderful course "Ugolino" 20 minutes away. See the link to its website on our Links page.
- Walking - there are some marvellous walks in the Tuscan countryside around Ripertoli. A copy of 'Rother's Walking Guide to Tuscany North' is available in the villa.
- Flora and Fauna - a visitor to Ripertoli (spring 2003) described "the location as stunning and Ripertoli a gem of the highest quality. I was completely unprepared for the insect and wildlife that you have on the site." Visit his web site for photographs of the butterflys and views across the valley.
